Meet Our Team

Dr. Megan Silvestri is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Qualified Supervisor, and Certified School Counselor with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. She is licensed in Florida, Virginia, South Carolina, and Kentucky.

Since beginning her career in 2009, Dr. Megan has worked in both private practice and community mental health settings, including crisis stabilization, detox, outpatient treatment, substance abuse programs, and court-mandated services. Her diverse background allows her to support clients with compassion, insight, and practical strategies for lasting change.

Dr. Megan works with children, adolescents, adults, and families, with extensive training and experience in treating trauma, anxiety, and depression. She is especially passionate about helping individuals who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in survival mode, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together on their own.

With previous experience working within the school system, Dr. Megan also helps parents and families better understand school-related challenges and navigate the educational support process. She works with families to better understand 504 Plans, IEPs, and the MTSS process, helping parents feel more informed, supported, and confident when advocating for their child’s emotional and academic needs.

Her counseling approach is individualized and collaborative, creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Clients can expect a therapeutic style that is compassionate, gentle, and direct — helping them gain clarity, developing healthier coping skills, and moving through both current and long-standing challenges.

Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Megan moved to Florida in 2003 to attend the University of Central Florida. She earned her Master’s degree from Webster University and her Doctor of Education (EdD) from Florida Southern College.

Outside of her work, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, visiting amusement parks, the beach, and caring for her pets. She and her family are passionate animal lovers.

Dr. Megan offers virtual counseling services based in Bradenton, Florida.
