Qualified Supervisor for Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns

Supervision for RMHCI Interns

If you're a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) in Florida seeking board-approved supervision, I offer both individual and group supervision to help you meet state licensure requirements. As a Qualified Supervisor approved by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling, I’m here to support your growth every step of the way.

I’m Dr. Megan Silvestri, LMHC, EdD (License #MH13779), and I am passionate about guiding new clinicians as they develop their professional identities and clinical confidence.

What is Clinical Supervision?

In Florida, RMHCI interns are required to complete supervised clinical hours under a licensed mental health counselor who holds a Qualified Supervisor credential. Supervision is designed to enhance your clinical skills, ensure ethical and competent practice, and help you integrate what you’ve learned in training into real-world therapeutic settings.

My Supervision Style

My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. I strive to create a supervision space that is supportive, reflective, and growth-oriented. I incorporate person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and integrative perspectives to meet you where you are in your professional journey.

In supervision, you can expect:

  • Constructive feedback and case consultation

  • Exploration of clinical and ethical challenges

  • Skill-building support and practical tools

  • Guidance tailored to your goals and the licensure process

Supervision Services Offered

  • Individual Supervision: Focused one-on-one sessions providing personalized guidance and professional support.

  • Group Supervision: A collaborative learning space where supervisees can share experiences, discuss cases, and grow together. Group supervision is available to current supervisees and is scheduled based on interest and availability.
